The Pear Tree, Stevenage – 4th May 2012 A new venue and a new area for the band.
Jennie and the crew made us feel very welcome at this large family pub restaurant. A fairly quiet night (for us), with a nice appreciative local crowd made much livelier when half a dozen pink “Bunnies” turned up for a party night.
The girls were a big attraction, dancing with some of the regulars and generally having a good time. Had to keep hold of our two guitarists though who kept drifting towards them. (in a fatherly, protective sort of way – obviously).
1st outing for Paradise City – Guns n’ Roses, on which Warwick excelled on an amazing guitar solo, (some say he is Slash, but with less hair) and some of the rock connoisseurs in the pub raved about it. We thought it sounded pretty good too.
Thanks for having us Jennie, hope we can come back and play again soon.
Next gigs are in two weeks time, Friday 18th May at The Kings Arms in Houghton Regis, then Saturday 19th May afternoon at the “Rockden” charity weekender at Rushden football club ground in Hayden Road. 12 great bands playing live over the two days, starting at about 1.00pm. Secret Genius are on stage at about 3.00pm and will play for about an hour or so.
Please come and support a good local charity. Kids under 12 get in free, food and drink on site.
